The Top Ten Women on Television of 2013

Jillian Belk - Workaholics

Molly Hooper - Sherlock

On a show that is dominated by three intensely funny guys, it’s hard to stand out. That’s why Jillian is so special: she makes herself known by being genuinely hilarious in every scene she’s in. When women are often relegated to the “straight-man” (ugh, I know) roles, it’s so refreshing to see someone like dim, sweet Jillian rise up and meet her comedic challenge, especially as a secondary character. Though her (lack of) intelligence can make the character become a bit ridiculous, Jillian Bell pulls it off with ease in the fantastical world of Workaholics. She gets weird, and I love her for it.

Molly hangs off to the sidelines. It was difficult to find a photo of her that didn’t involve someone else. She is completely infatuated with Sherlock, who treats her like shit most of the time, and is rather awkward in social situations. But damn, she is observant as anything. You’d have to be in her area of work, but she observes all the time. She’s the only one who has successfully made Sherlock see how his deductions tear people down, and even when she’s feeling ignored, she’s loyal and helps where she can. She has always counted, to both Sherlock and to me.

"My butthole is sweating like it's getting paid to."

"I don't count."
